Articles and Internet Branding: 5 Steps to Success

Tuesday, July 16, 2013

by: Dina Giolitto

Are you ready to become an internet marketing expert? Are you ready for a massive conversion rate plus unlimited residual streams of income for your web-based business? Excellent! I'm here to focus your mind on the job at hand. Today you will learn how article marketing is the means to the end, and that end is PROFIT.Web marketing success happens one project at a time. The formula we're about to discuss works best when your product is information-based. Meaning, if you're an expert in your niche, other people are going to want to learn Your Secrets. You can use this to your advantage- by creating marketable products that deliver information (your Secrets) to customers who are willing to pay for it. You will then use web articles to lure in your prospects.

How will you go about this? Take it one step at a time.

Step 1. Select a niche market. What are your interests? Where does your expertise lie? Wherever that is, is where you will focus your next marketing project. Let's say it's real estate. Your Marketing Mission is: make your name recognizable within the realm of real estate. Build yourself up as an expert in the purchaseing and selling of property.

Step 2. Create an online persona and brand for your business. For continuity's sake, let's go with the real estate example. Suppose you want to be known as the Inside Expert on house flipping for profit. Sounds like a great plan to me! Now grab yourself a web designer and a great copywriter and get going on perfecting that image of you as the Real Estate Go-To Guru!

Step 3. Develop an informational product that readers can purchase directly from your website. You've seen those kits that all the Experts are selling, right? Who told you that you can't sell one on your website? Nobody. So, get going. Start pulling all nighters if you have to, just get that kit written and make it powerful so that your purchaseers will go, WOW! I can't believe what I learned from this guy/girl, and for such little money! Hire a ghostwriter, if you really want to get this project cracking. Either way, as Nike says: Just Do It.

Step 4. Write articles to build your credibility. If you've been reading my "series of internet marketing articles" in order, you'll already be familiar with the concept of article marketing. This is where you use an Article Distribution website like Ezinearticles.com to help deliver quality articles to end users who will feature your articles.

(Note: I listed this as Step 4, but really your articles should be flowing as early as Step 2.) As part of your brand-building strategy, stream a steady flow of web articles to content-hungry webmasters who fall into your topic category, who will then spread your sage advice all over the internet. If you're burdened with time constraints, hire a ghostwriter to do this work for you. At the end of the articles, include a bio that directs them to your website. From there, they can learn more about you and what you can offer them.

Step 5. Direct your customers to a sales letter that teaches them about your product. Again, you can do this with article marketing. An easy scenario to follow: You write an intriguing article featuring five tips on how to gauge the real estate market. At the end of the article is your bio, which directs the reader to a link where a sales letter page opens. That sales letter will then contain certified testimonials from happy clients and customers of yours. All of this will further enhance your reputation as a qualified expert.

The final outcome: clicks to your website, where visitors use PayPal or another easy money transer in exchange for your informational product. The profit's in your pocket. Beautiful! YOU DID IT! Give yourself a pat on the back. Take a vacation!

Of course, if you're going to be an internet expert, it's a smart idea to create multiple areas of expertise for yourself in more than one niche. Again, articles are the means to the end. Suppose now that you're done with your online real estate venture, you've figured out that Copywriting is another God-given talent of yours that can be leveraged for profit. Time to create a Brand New Internet Personality! How will you do this? Easy. Follow the five steps I mentioned above, only replace each mention of real estate with Copywriting.

Do you see the INFINITE POSSIBILITIES? Good! You've got plenty of work to do. So stop reading, and start writing those articles!

Co-Branding For More Traffic

by: Barrett Niehus
Co-Branding For More Traffic

By Barrett Niehus

The opportunity to promote your web site on the internet grows daily. Unfortunately, so do the number of sites that compete for product placement and web traffic. As a response to this increased competition, many savvy marketers are turning to co-branding to provide them with an edge over their competition. By participating in co-branding programs, these web marketers can provide more tools, resources and "sticky" content than their competitors.A co-brand program is usually an arrangement where a web page, company, or organization allows a licensee or participant to include the licensee's logo or brand on the product offered by the licensor. The benefit to the licensee is increased brand exposure, and the ability to offer a product that would otherwise be unavailable to their clients. The benefit to the licensor can be increase advertising revenue, or in many cases on the internet, increased web traffic. An example of this type of co-branding would be syndicated stock ticker that could be posted on your site, and branded with your logo. An example of this can be found at the Wall Street Trader Co-brand site http://www.wstraders.com/index.cfm?CobrandApp=1

The opportunities to co-brand on the internet are expanding from content to actual software and products. IP Ware real estate software http://www.freetrainer.com/cobrand.htm offers free co-branding and co-branded web links on the software's start page so that consumers are exposed to co-branding every time they start the software. The Internet Toolpad http://www.itoolpad.com/ will actually insert your logo into a host of freeware for a small charge. There are also a number of organizations that will accept co-branding in exchange for cross promotion and increased traffic.

Regardless of the type of co-branding, the benefit in increased traffic and site "stickiness" is apparent. By using the branding and promotional resources on the internet wisely, the internet marketer can offer more options, better solutions, and more attractive content
than their competition.

Do You Need Help Adding RSS Feeds To Your Blogger?

Monday, July 15, 2013

by: Nell Taliercio
It’s really easy and here is how you can do it:

Log into your blogger account

Go to "settings"

Go to "site feed"

Copy the "site feed url"

Then go to www.feedburner.com

Scroll down to "try feedburner today" and paste your "site feed url" and then click next. You'll be at "select services" There are lots of options on that page and you can look through them all, but to get to the feeds you need to go to the bottom of that page and click on "next". Then you can log in or sign up. It's free to sign up. After you fill in your info then click and that page will allow you to "activate your feed". Click on that and then click on "launch your publicity tools" and then click on "chicklet chooser". Then you have many options. I personally always choose the “my yahoo”, “my msn”, “newsgator” and “xml”. Click on each one and you'll see the code you need to grab. You have to do it for each one.

Then just go back to your template and put it in. You're set. As you can see there are other different things you can do too. So look around in there and check them all out.

But that is just the very basics of getting a feed up. Now, when you get that feed added let me know so I can add you to my personal “my yahoo” page!

To Blog or Not to Blog...

by: Terry Dashner

“To Blog or not to Blog…”

Terry Dashner………………………….Faith Fellowship Church PO Box 1586 Broken Arrow, OK 74013

It’s entitled, Blog {Understanding The Information Reformation That’s Changing Your World} (Nelson Books 2005). His name is Hugh Hewitt, and he’s written something worth reading, especially if you’re interested in impact. Allow me to continue.Listen to this: “Since HughHewitt.com was launched in early 2002, more than ten million people have visited his site (seven million just since the beginning of 2004). ‘Why does this visitor traffic matter?’ asks Hewitt. ‘People’s attentions are up for grabs. If you depend upon the steady trust of others, suddenly you have an audience waiting to hear from you.’ The race is underway, though, to gain mindspace and to be part of readers’ habits. If your organization has not established itself in blogosphere, now is the time to move ahead, but quickly!”

I agree. God has provided a powerful weapon in our arsenal of faith. Disseminating words is powerful. And when the words disseminated are wise and informative, they become a mighty gun against the forces of ignorance, prejudice, foolishness, stupidity, immaturity… (Pardon me. I got carried away). Many of you have heard me preach. Some of you have heard me say that the most powerful medium to change the hearts of men has been, and will always be—the written and disseminated word. Why do I say that? Because it is true, and I like speaking truth. I sleep better at night, having spoken truth throughout the daytime.

The church has gotten it wrong. It isn’t the western televangelist that’s going to win the Muslim to Jesus Christ. A testimony of a Muslim turning to Jesus, written down on a leaflet or pamphlet and disseminate widely will. Don’t get me wrong. There are some good TV evangelists who love God and do a good work for the church; however, the medium of television is too expensive, too impractical to win the world for Jesus. Missionaries on the ground and armed with videos, pamphlets, and medicine will do the “greater works.” (I know I’m opinionated; but at 50 I’ve earned the right. If it’s too much for you, use the delete key that God gave your computer.)

Mr. Hewitt did a wonderful job telling the story of Martin Luther, the great Reformer, and how his writings—widely disseminated because of the newly invented movable type—changed the world. He did a remarkable feat in sharing his vision of the future for disseminating information around the world via the Blogger. I recommend you read his book today and start blogging tomorrow.

The Old Testament prophet Daniel spoke of a day when knowledge would increase, explode on the scene as it were. The Apostle Paul spoke of a day when people would run “to and fro” looking for something new. I understand these remarks in a good way. Today is a day that people want good, wholesome, challenging, well researched, information. I believe today is the day for believers everywhere to unit and Blog. Let’s Blog them into the Kingdom of righteousness!

Remember, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” John 1:1.

Keep the faith. Stay the course. Jesus is coming soon. But until He does, get the word out!

News Blogs: Escape TV News, Newspapers and Radios

by: Jesse S. Somer
Who needs T.V. News, Newspapers and Radio News? “Not I!” says the happy human living in the New World.

T.V. and radio News got you down? On-line current events and News blogs make being informed a much more enjoyable experience. For many the News on television has become a trying time of the day. Focused mainly on negative events, you may have to wait through the whole program just to hear the one story you were waiting for. If you miss the 6:00 p.m. show, waiting until the late night segment can be a real drag, especially if you’ve got a lot to do, or have to wake up early the next morning. My friends, there is an answer to this problem: News blogs or on-line current events. You can find all of your favorite broadcasters (E.g.: CNN, BBC) on the Internet, getting up-to-date information at any time of the day or night. You can even read personal journal entries written by multiple correspondents out in the field reporting on several different stories down to the current minute. Instead of hearing all News from one voice (often an irritating one), now you can read different human opinions straight from the scene of interest.

Often News on-line has a section called “themes” which allows the reader to only hear about the specific areas that interest them. No more waiting through several wars to get to the positive story about the current medical breakthrough that could mean a cure for disease, or the technological idea that might mean the end to extreme pollution levels. Like a newspaper, you can go straight to the “jobs” theme and search through all the current employment vacancies available. If you are obsessed with the negative, themes such as “Disaster and Tragedy” and “Crime and Punishment are still readily accessible.

As the News is now on the Internet it has also become an interactive experience in numerous ways. First of all now you can send News stories straight to the News companies yourself! If the story is deemed worthwhile and verifiable, you may even be published. This is also the case with photographers who have pictures of important events. It really means anyone can become a part of the action as a freelance consultant. Some News on-line have “witness” sections where you can tell your story if you happen to have been in the right place at the right time. This option means that we can hear many different views on contentious issues giving a wider perspective to the ‘big picture’.

Some News sites also have interactive sites within. For example, on the BBC News Blog there is a learning site (BBCi Learning) that involves interactive activities and over half a million pages of factual information and resources available for children, adolescents, and adults. There are competitions and all sorts of games to help educate people in any and every area of interest imaginable.

Another great aspect of these on-line News sites is the ability to access archival information. You can watch video and listen to audio recordings of famous historical stories right on the computer. If the day is Feb.3, you can read articles from Feb.3’s from fifty years ago. Looking up any date and year recorded is as easy as pushing a few buttons.

Some services have subscriptions where instead of looking up the website, the News you want is sent straight to your email. Being in the know, and being in the now, has never been such an objective, enjoyable, and simplistic experience as in the 21st century. Partaking in a new perspective on life is what on-line current events and News Blogs are all about.

Blogs for Dogs: Create Web Domains for Dogs, Cats and Other

by: ARA
(ARA) - What do you get the pet that has everything? How about its own domain on the Internet? A new online service, DomainsForYourPet.com, lets you register a Web site address for your dog, cat or any other nonhuman companion.

The U.S. pet population numbers 353 million companion animals, including 141 million cats and dogs (about 65 million dogs and 75 million cats), with an estimated 62 percent of all U.S. households owning at least one pet, and three- quarters of those households owning two or more pets. “We know how passionate people are about their pets, so we think it’s a doggoned good idea to have a customized Web site for showcasing your pet to friends and family. It’s said that every dog has its day. Now every dog can have its own domain,” said John Lee, director of marketing for the new service. “This is another example of the trend we see in which everyone eventually will have a personal Web site to use as the basic platform for communication. Getting to that point requires an easy, low-cost way of registering an Internet domain name. We’re pleased to provide that part of the solution, as well as a variety of value-packed Web-hosting plans.”

Pet owners or their friends can use DomainsForYourPet.com to establish full ownership of a Web site name for Spot or Tabby, set up a free “under construction” page, and have access to an online control panel for managing the site. Cost of the service is $6.95 per year.

And why stop with the domain name? Proud pet owners can use an online service called InstantSite to build a simple, customized Web site for sharing pictures, training-graduation announcements, milestone moments, whimsical Weblogs or “blogs,” and more.

More information is available at www.DomainsForYourPet.com.

Blog Marketing: Guerrillas stalk the Internet

by: Gunnar Berglund
Blogs, are often defined as frequent and ongoing publications of personal thoughts and opinions of the Internet or websites. And, of course - all of certainly know what Marketing is. We are constantly bombarded with every sort of Marketing ploy through almost all forms of electronic media and print media as well. Blog Marketing is an exploding tactical and strategic process on the Internet whereby personal opinion and marketing coalesce to advise, promote, guide, persuade or dissuade any or all of us in our purchasing decisions. The Blogger generally provides his/her expertise and opinion to "assist" the consumer in making all sorts of decisions. These Blogs cumulatively provide guidance on virtually every aspect of known existence. Blog Marketing is potentially a perfect platform for "guerrilla warfare" marketing as well - everyone from Joe Schmoe on the street to top politicians and corporate executives can use this method to promote a personal agenda or to sell something in the guise of authoritative and disinterested position. Caveat emptor is the watch phrase still as it will always be. Still, Blog Marketing offers many positive contributions as well. The future customer is able to obtain more information about positions, products, or services than in the traditional marketing format of advertisements.

Opinion is what it is and everyone knows the old saying about opinions - it would behove the person being blogged to consider and the potential agendas of the Blogger. The promise of blogging is that more information about the subject may be obtained or that truly outside of the box thinking might emerge into public view.

BLOGS! What They Are... And WHY They're Becoming A POWER

by: Cory Threlfall
BLOGS! What a crazy name for the "NEWEST" Internet
marketing trend to hit the Internet.

But, I like it.

It makes this new form of communication kind of mysterious
in a way, though, BLOGS have been around for quite some
time and only recently have been recognized as a VERY
valuable asset to Internet marketers.Recently, I was visiting some Internet marketing related
Forums and noticed many of the threads having similar
"Subjects" saying... "What the heck are BLOGS?"

So, I did a little research and this is what I came up with
since I was Very curious myself.

I think it's best that I clearly define to You exactly what
a "BLOG" is so that as I go through this article with you,
you'll have a clear picture in your head of what a Blog IS
and so there won't be any confusion.

A "BLOG"(A.K.A. Web Log) by definition is:

A combination of online diary and/or guestbook. You sign up
for a blogger account and then you enter the information
You want on your Website. Then you can set it so that only
you can place entries on it or so that anyone can. Then you
can either keep a private journal or you can have a place
where your readers can get together and place entries to
each other or to you.

So... there you have it in a nut shell.

To simplify it even more let's just say BLOGS are a place
to go and post your personal thoughts that you can share
with your subscribers and/or readership and receive
feedback.

Now, for the purpose of this article, now that you know the
true definition of a "Blog", I'm going to share with you
some reasons WHY they're becoming a widely recognized
"POWER TOOL" for Internet marketers around the world.

So, with that said, lets go to Reason #1.

Reason #1. Great way to stay in touch with your subscribers.

Blogs are a great way to stay in touch with your
subscribers and/or readership and builds regular readership
Traffic to your little community where you can interact
with them.

It also helps build rapport, which in turn, will help
develop that TRUST in You, Your Products and/or Services
that You recommend.

Reason #2. It's a great way to get "Feedback".

Blogs are a great way to get Feedback from your
subscribers/customers simply because they have the ability
to leave comments on each "Post" you make which will then
help you find what it is they're looking for making YOU
look like a "Hero" in there eye's and putting $Money$ in
your pocket.

Reason #3. Can be managed by ONE individual.

Blogs require NO "HTML" experience, making it easy for
ANYONE to get started.

Most "Blog" communities online use what is called a
"WYSIWYG" HTML editor.

Did I lose you there with the "WYSIWYG" abbreviation. That
simply stands for... "What You See Is What You Get".

It's one of the easiest HTML editors to use, making it easy
for You to get started right away.

Reason #4. Your able to list your "Main" website details.

When you sign up for your Blogger account you're given an
area to set-up your "Personal Profile" where your able to
list your Main website and URL, plus, any other personal
information you wish to share that will be displayed on
your Blog.

Reason #5. A great way to publish "Information".

This is probably ONE of the Biggest benefits to Blogs
because you have the ability to post informative
information in the form of "Articles and/or Reviews" for
your subscribers and/or readership which will make you look
like an Expert on the subject and giving you INSTANT
credibility in the eye's of your reader.

Reason #6. You get your own URL.

That's right, you get your own URL you can use in all your
promotions and/or on your personal website if you have one.

This feature is great, especially for people just starting
out and don't have there own website up and running yet.

-----------------------------------------
Here's my Blog for you to take a look at.

It's called... The Internet Wonders Blog.
http://theiwe.blogspot.com
-----------------------------------------

Reason #7. Search Engines love them.

Search Engines love Blogs because they are so "Content
Rich" and are always being updated on a Daily to Weekly
basis.

When you compare a regular static website, which might be
updated on a monthly basis, to a Blog, which is updated on
a Daily to Weekly basis with NEW content, you'll gain favor
with the search engines with your Blog.

The S.E. "Spiders" will then gladly stop by to munch down
on whatever NEW content you posted and Index your website
more often since that is what Search Engines love and are
constantly looking for.

Reason #8. The ability to use RSS with Blogs.

A powerful feature about Blogs is the use of RSS(Really
Simple Syndication) that allows you to Instantly send your
Blog highlights to your readership upon publication which
will keep your reader up to speed on your business and your
Products and/or Services.

Not only that, RSS also gives your Blog more exposure to a
wider audience of subscribers building a bigger readership
in less time.

By simply adding an human element to your business through
the use of a "Blog", IS a great way to build rapport and
gain the trust of your subscribers and/or readership, which
in turn, will turn them into purchaseing "Customers".

Well, there you have it, "BLOGS! What They Are... And WHY
They're Becoming A POWER TOOL For Internet Marketers".

I hope this article clearly answered the questions you once
had about "Blogs" and the benefits of starting one of your
own. ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Displaying Google Adsense in Blogs

by: George Manty
Google® Adsense® can be a great tool for making money. Blogs are also becoming a great tool for making money. Many people know that the most profitable position to place Google® Adsense® ads is inline with your article text. The dilemna many of us face is that the Google® Adsense® Terms of Service only allow 3 ad blocks per page. The reason this is a problem for bloggers is that most blogs show more than three posts on the main page or in the archives section of the site. When this is the case you can't post an article Google® Adsense® in the article. While setting up my wife and her friend's new site (www.naturalfamilynews.com), I came up with a trick using JavaScript to fix that problem. The code I wrote works perfectly in WordPress, but you should be able to adapt it to any blog that uses templates.

Step 1. In the head section of the template (between the <head> and </head> tags), you insert the following JavaScript code:

<script> var temp=0; </script>

Step 2. Go to the template used to display your post (in WordPress the main template). Then insert the following code inside the display area for the post:

<script> if (temp>2) document.write("<div style='visibility:hidden;height=1px;font-size:0;display:none'>"); </script>

Step 3 Insert your Google® Adsense® code directly following the </script> tag that you inserted in Step 2 above.

Step 4 Insert the following code after the </script> tag from the Google® Adsense® code you inserted in step 3 :

<script> if (temp>2) document.write("</div>"); temp++; </script>

Step 5. Save your changes and test it out.

What this does is create a new DIV section in your code that is hidden if it appears more than three times on the page. So only three ads will appear on any page. If you use Google® Adsense® in other places in your blog, then you will need to adjust the number "temp" in the first step up to display less inline ads. For instance, only two inline ads will appear if you change the code to:

<script> var temp=1; </script>

Only one inline ad will appear if you change it to:

<script> var temp=2; </script>

I hope this code helps you to make money online. Feel free to let others know about this trick, just be sure to let them know where you heard about it.

How To Get Your BLOGS "Site Feed" Listed In Yahoo! a

by: Cory Threlfall
BLOGS... they seem to be the talk of the Internet marketing
world these days, and for good reason.

Not only do the Search Engines love them for there Content
Rich pages, you also have the ability to plug your Blogs
"Site Feed" into an RSS feed and then have it syndicated to
thousands of websites and directories giving your content
more exposure to your target audience.RSS(Real Simple Syndication) is a very Powerful technology
that has been around for quite some time and when used
correctly, can build an audience overnight.

If you want a crash course on what RSS is, in more depth,
since the nature of this article is to show you how to get
your Blogs "Site Feed" listed in Yahoo! and MSN, I've
provided a link to a page full of articles on RSS related
issues. http://www.rss-specifications.com/rss-articles.htm

Now, depending on where your Blog is hosted, whether its
through a free service like Blogger.com --
http://www.blogger.com or hosted on your websites server
you should have a "Site Feed URL" that has the .XML
extension.

This is your "Site Feed URL".

You'll usually locate it within your Settings area of Blog
control center.

Here's what mine looks like as an example:
http://theiwe.blogspot.com/atom.xml

This URL is intended for a RSS News Reader, so disregard
its appearance.

Once you find your "Site Feed URL", copy and paste it into
Notepad because you'll need it for the next steps coming
ahead.

Now, what you need to do is go and set-up an My Yahoo! and
My MSN account.

I've provided the links for you below.

- My Yahoo! ==> http://my.yahoo.com

- My MSN ==> http://msn.com

It should only take you about 15-20 minutes at the most.

If you already have accounts with My Yahoo! and My MSN,
read on.

This is assuming you already have your accounts set-up, so
your next step is to Login to your My Yahoo! account.

When you login, you'll be taken to your Yahoo! page
immediately.

What you want to do next is go look under the Yahoo! search
box to the left and click on the "Add Content" link.

This will bring you to a new page.

From there, over to the right by the "Find" button you'll
see an "Add RSS by URL" link, click on it.

A new window will open with a "Web Form". Simply copy and
paste your "Site Feed URL" from Notepad into the web form
and click on the "Add" button.

Now, you should see your Blogs name infront of you. Simply
click on the yellow "Add To My Yahoo!" button and your feed
will be added.

The next thing you should see is your "Site Feed" with your
"Headlines".

Click on one of them, it should take you to your Blog, to
the desired Headline you chose.

Your My Yahoo! page should Now have your Blogs "Site Feed"
Headlines listed at the bottom.

Scroll down to check. If you don't see them, it sometimes
takes up to 24-48 hours for them to appear, so just check
back later.

Now that thats done, everytime you update your Blog with
NEW content, it'll "Automatically" update on your My Yahoo!
page and everybody else's pages who have subscribe to your
feed, plus, within 24-48 hours your feed will get Spidered
and Indexed by Yahoo!.

Talk about getting the word out in a HURRY with very little
effort on your part.

This is "Viral Marketing" at its Best in my mind.

And... it's so simple to implement.

Okay.

Now it's time to do the same to your My MSN account as what
you did above to your My Yahoo! page.

Here's the link to go login(click on Sign In from main
page): http://www.msn.com

Once your login to your My MSN account you should see an
"Add Content" link under the MSN logo to your left. Click
on it.

A pop-up should now be displaying. Simply copy and paste
your "Site Feed URL" from your Notepad into the web form
provided and click the Search button(the green button with
the arrow).

You should now be looking at Check Box with your Blogs name
beside it. Check off your "Site Feed URL" and then press
the OK button at the bottom.

PRESTO! Like magic... your Blogs site feed has now been
added to your My MSN page which will then be spidered in
the next 24-48 hours and Indexed by MSN.

That's the Power of BLOGS(Web-Logs) and RSS(Really Simple
Syndication)combined with two Internet giants.

The only thing you have to bring to the table IS, fresh,
quality content that your audience WANTS, and do it on a
regular basis.

I post my articles that I write on a weekly basis, making
my Blog called... The Internet Wonders Blog -
http://theiwe.blogspot.com - a search engine Magnet!

You can do the same because I just showed you HOW.

In conclusion, creating BLOGS and using RSS as a vehicle to
syndicate your Blogs content is a Sure-Fire way to get your
content spidered more frequently by search engines and the
exposure it deserves, which in turn, will build you a
large audience of purchaseing customers that TRUST you. ABOUT THE AUTHOR

How to Cash In on Blogs

by: Jeremy Maddock
Over the past year or so, more and more webmasters have been creating their own blogs (web-logs). If you don't already know, a blog is sort of an online diary which is updated at regular intervals by the author(s), and can be viewed by the public.Blogs can have a wide variety of topics, including personal thoughts, news, sports, politics, technology, or virtually anything else you can think of. And like any other website, a blog can be used to make money.

The most popular way make money with your blog is to put some sort of pay-per-click text ads on it. Some companies that will pay you for doing this are Google Adsense (http://www.google.com/adsense) and BidClix (http://www.bidclix.com). Depending on the topic that you choose to write about, your ads might make anywhere from $0.05 to $1.00 per click.

Reasons Why You Should Have A Weblogger Installed On Your We

by: Radhika Venkata

I don't know about you, but when I built my first web site three years back I don't know anything about the webloggers. One day when I checking the features of my web host control panel (after two months of uploading my first home page) I saw the link 'Webstats'. That was the first time I get to know that I can know how many people are comming to my site.
For few days I was thrilled to know about this. One day I did a search on 'web stats' on Altavista. In the search results I came across very good software that tells a lot more about a site statistics. So I installed a free script on my site.

From till then to now I am using my webloggers to refine my web site links and tracking the ad campaigns etc.
So here are few uses, why you need a weblogger and how to use it:
***1. How many people are coming to your site:
This is an average number of visitors your web site is receiving hourly, daily or monthly. By this you can know how your web site is doing by all means. Are the visitors are targeted or not is not the question at this stage. Everymonth your number of visitors are increasing means you are doing a good job as a webmaster.
***2. From where they are coming(referers):
You can know from where or from which page the visitor is coming though this is not so in all cases. You can know which search engine or which affiliate sending you most of your visitors.
***3. What pages they are visiting most:
With your weblogger you can know which page getting maximum hits from search engines, which page frequently revisited by your visitors etc. If you find one, you can keep your main product link on these web pages. Offer a discount price for your product.
***4. How many pages they are visiting:
This tells you stickiness of your web site. How much time your visitor is going to spent depends on his intention to visit your site. If he comes with a search term 'search engine optimization' and he finds a link to search engine optimization web site, he is not going to stay long.
If he revisits to check and compare your product his stay will be longer. So have a look on how much time each visitor is staying on average. Take care of few things like no pop ups, keep fast loading images, check links, good navigation. These keep your visitor a little more time.
***5. What keywords they are using in search engines:
Very important in search engine optimization of your web pages. See what keywords mostly used by your visitors and which web page coming up with which keyword. Why this is important means you can check the web page that coming up with that keyword really contain the product they are looking for. You can also add those search words to your metatags.
***6. Which search engine sending you most traffic:
This is another good indication about your web site performance. Write down all the search engine names and try to further optimize your pages.
***7. You can see errors like '404 file not found' error:
This tells you a bad link or wrong URLs with spelling mistakes etc on your web pages .So that you can correct them. These error links are found as 'page not found' errors in your webloggers with the number '404'.
If people click to your 'order.htm' only to see '404 file not found' error, you are losing a sale.
***8. Tracking your advertising campaigns:
If you start an advertising campaign you can set up a seperate landing page for each of your campaign. You can assume that people coming to that page are coming from that particular ad campaign.
All these are useful in improving your website look, search engine position, refining your keywords and changing the pages that sending your visitors away etc.

Blogging and Pinging- Powerful Backdoor Into Major Search En

by: Ted Kushner
Most of you know what a blog is. But have you ever had to ping a web site? Did you know that the two together, blog and ping have become the talk of the seo forums lately on how powerful these two techniques together can be at getting any web site no matter how small or large, indexed almost immediately by the major search engines and for free. If you're a webmaster then you know how frustrating it can be to be able to get your site listed and indexed in the major search engines in a reasonable amount of time. You spend countless hours creating your site, adding content, checking keyword density, etc... You then take the time to hand submit your site to all the major search engines like Yahoo, Google, AOL, MSN and then wait... and wait for the spiders to come index your web pages.

If you're lucky they may come by this week, this month, or even this year. After spending all your time and money in the development of your site the last thing you want to do is wait forever for it to show you the fruits of your labor. You want to get it listed as fast as possible. Now there are some ways you can get the spiders to visit your site sooner. Like posting to similar high ranking forums, purchaseing high PR rated links, or submitting articles on your subject and linking back to your site.

All of these techniques work and work well, along with some other methods not mentioned here. But they all still take time. Some may work faster then others, but how would you like it if you could learn how get your site spidered and indexed by all of the major search engines in only 48 hours without spending a dime?

By blogging and pinging you can do just that. You need to follow some simple steps in setting up this strategy. But once set up it can become a major tool to getting any of your sites listed quickly.

Setting these steps up isn't hard you just need to do them in a proper sequence or all your work will be in vain. But with the proper research you could very well be on your way to getting your site indexed and listed in as little as a few days.

This fearful, ignorant guy has got a blog on the Internet. I

by: Jesse S. Somer
Of all people in the world I was easily one of the most pessimistic about computers, the Internet and now that I even know they exist-blogs. I think blogs are pretty cool but I never thought I could have one. I thought the processes of getting a site; domain name and the actual building of the blog would just be out of my league. I’m a complete novice when it comes to technology, but I do like writing a journal, and I thought having a journal on-line would be both fun and make life simpler for me. No more writing with pens, other people can read my stuff and comment on it, and I could add pictures to illustrate my points and make things look more interesting.Well, now I’ve got one! It’s awesome. I won’t lie and say it was easy, but I think if you hook up with a good web hosting company it’s not such a daunting experience as you might expect. I got a few work mates to help me. I went through a couple administrative hitches when filling in my personal information forms for the registration-just because I’m a bit silly in the head. We had a little trouble with the blog program we used, but these challenges were eventually overcome. My boss says he’s going to make a simple program that people can hook up easily.

I chose my domain name: thepowerofeverythingthatis.com. It’s my own name-no one else on Earth can have it. I own it. I picked a nice picture out for the background-it looks really sweet, much better than a blank sheet in a diary. I got it from a site that gives photos out without charging a royalty (the first few): www.istockphoto.com.

I just want you to know the great feeling I got when I first typed in my domain name and my site came up! It was the equivalent to a person who’s afraid of heights being accepted into an astronaut’s mission into outer space. Or maybe it was like a turtle driving a Ferrari 300km per hour. Possibly it was like all the ants in the world getting together for peace talks.

It’s a real blast having this blog. I can write on it any time, anywhere, from my laptop, at an Internet café etc. I can write as much as I want, and I’m hoping one day my writing may inspire others to communicate with me about the subjects that I’m interested in.

Look, if you like writing about anything, and want to have your thoughts and opinions on the Internet, maybe meeting others similar to yourself in the progress; you have to get a blog and get it now. Don’t be afraid any longer, the world is in the palm of your hands; it’s time to get on!

Blogs and RSS Boost Your Online Business, Rankings, Traffic

by: Richard Weberg
Blogs and RSS Boost Your Online Business, Rankings, Traffic and Sales.

Blogs for Advertising?

Yes! Blogs and RSS boost your online business, rankings, traffic and sales. We all sometimes ignore the trends in advertising on the internet until the masses are allready doing it. That is why I felt compelled to right this article and hopefully help others to understand that Blogs are a very powerful advertising method and you do not want to ignore this trend, You will regret it! A blog is a frequent, online publication of comments, web links and news. It is an online Enzine of sorts. People maintained blogs long before the term was coined, but the trend gained momentum with automated published systems, most notably is blogger.com. Thousands of people use services such as Blogger alone.

I only realized myself how powerful Blog advertising was, after I submitted an article to one Blog, yes just one Blog. What happened next amazed me! Within one week my new site wich I used in my byline in the Blog was not only indexed, but every single page was indexed and I had over 200 other sites pointing links to my site! All from one Blog posting. See websites need content and Blogs are a great source for content, and search engines LOVE blogs! I really need to say that again, search engines love Blogs!
Want your site indexed? Want hundreds maybe even thousands of incoming links all pointing to your site?

Here are the reasons you should not ignore Blog advertising. Remember when all search engines were free, and simply submitting your web sites got you listed quickly? Gone. Then it wa FFA pages, they brought in a ton of free traffic, built links to your site, and added to your mailing list like crazy. Tried one lately? Safelists were an online goldmine for a while... until bottom less email accounts were introduced.

Every new technology does what you need, at first. Then slowly more and more learn the secrets, and by the time the herd has caught on it's too late. Technologies have changed, everything has slowed way down, or the search engines have decided that it's become another form of spamming the search engines and stop weighing it so heavily. Sometimes they even ban the technology from their databases, remember doorway pages and multiple sites?

So where is blogging along this curve today? The early adoptors have been doing it for the last couple of years, and the leading internet marketers started coming into it over the last year, many are still just getting started with it. So you're at the perfect time, most of the expensive development time is done, the bulk of the bugs are out of the whole RSS and Atom feed systems, and engines like Yahoo, MSN and Google are embracing the technology and waiting to greet your Blog with open arms. So dont ignore this whole Blogging idea, embrace it you just might see your sales soar through the roof!
